'Research in your Career' drop-in sessions

Monthly drop-in sessions are designed to support people to think about what research in their career could look like, what options are available and what might be the first step. The sessions could also be used to seek more specific advice about clinical academic careers, project development or applying for internships.

Managers can also use the drop-in sessions to explore the practicalities of how to support staff development in research, or discuss how to build research cultures within their teams.

The drop-in sessions are supported by staff and patients with experience of research in health and care settings and career development.

You can drop in at anytime during the session and ask a question, or just come along to hear what other people are talking about or working on. Dates for the next year are below. Click on the following link to book onto a session.

Phase 1: Online support and coaching

Throughout the next three years we will be offering online research support and coaching to any Health and Care Professional working in the South-Central Region.

This will be in the form of access to online ‘Research in your career’ drop-in sessions and our public contributor panel.

Patient and public contributor panel

The Launchpad programme is supported by a patient and public contributor panel. They will also be holding online drop-in sessions to help people explore how to meaningfully engage with patients or service users. These expert patients can support you to work in partnership with patients and the public, design research projects that promote a positive patient experience, or explore how to communicate about research in accessible ways.

The format of the session will be similar to the drop-in sessions above, i.e, come anytime, bring a question, or just be ready to listen.

Dates for these sessions will be available here and you can click on the following link to book onto a session.
