'Research in your Career' drop-in sessions
Our ‘Research in Your Career’ drop-in sessions are a chance to explore what research could look like as part of your career, find out what opportunities are available and think about your next step.

You can also use the sessions to get more specific advice about clinical academic careers, developing a research project or applying for internships.
​
If you’re a manager, the sessions can also help you explore ways to support staff development in research and build a stronger research culture within your team.
​
There’s no need to prepare anything in advance. Drop in at any point during the session, ask a question, talk through an idea or simply listen to what others are discussing and working on.
Phase 1: Online support and coaching
Research support and coaching
As part of the Launchpad Programme, you’ll have access to online research support and coaching to help you develop your research skills, ideas and confidence.

This includes access to our online ‘Research in Your Career’ drop-in sessions, where you can ask questions, explore research ideas and get support from our team.
​
You’ll also have access to Launchpad PPIE Support, helping you involve patients, people and the public in your research and make sure their experiences and perspectives help shape your work.
Launchpad Patient and Public Involvement Engagement (PPIE)
As part of Launchpad, you can access PPIE support from experienced patients and public contributors to help you think about how to involve people in your project.
Whether you’re just starting to develop an idea or already have a project underway, you can sign up for a conversation to talk through your project, ask questions and get practical advice and feedback.

Our public contributors can share their experiences and perspectives to help you think about what meaningful involvement could look like at different stages of your research.
