Co-Lab
About Us
Co-lab provides evaluations, training and research methods for community-based research and improvement.

Our Mission
Together with our communities, we want to develop research and improvement methods that fit the community setting and build evidence to improve community health and social care.
Our Services
Rapid Evaluation
Service
We work with you to design and deliver evaluations. We use rapid-evaluation methods to give you findings fast. We focus on making our evaluation accessible with recommendations that can be applied in practice to make improvements.
Peer Researcher Programme
Peer research trains people in our communities to research areas affecting them the most. Our training coaches people with no research experience into leading their first research project - making research accessible for all.
Coaching and Training
We have decades of experience in community-based research and improvement. We deliver training on community healthcare including Quality Improvement, Demand and Capacity and Co-Production.
Methods Development and Testing Hub
We work with our partners at UCL Rapid Evaluation and Appraisal Lab to try and develop new methods for community-based research to improve community health and social care. We offer consultancy to organisations on community-based research and improvement.
We were so pleased to have the opportunity to work with the evaluation team. We were expertly guided from the beginning in identifying the questions and sources of data required. Everyone worked incredibly quickly to capture the moment in time, collecting an incredible amount of data.
We pulled in some of our staff and public volunteers to support with data collection, they were given training sessions, additional support and the opportunity to ask questions at any point. The resulting paper is full of new perspectives and data and is presented clearly and concisely with graphs and pictures to entice the reader.
A huge thank you for your skilled delivery, speed and leadership on this project, it has expertly captured a moment in time for nursing.
