Driving learning and improvement through knowledge and evidence

The Hampshire Healthcare Library Service provide colleagues with support and training to access evidence and apply it to their practice. They help with the application of evidence to support patient care, enabling service development, informed management decisions, and continuous improvement.

The Knowledge Specialists have completed over 700 literature searches in the last year, with over 6,000 hours of staff time saved enabling clinicians to focus on patient care while still receiving the information they require.

Who are Knowledge Specialists, and how can they help?

We provide expert searches, training on finding and using evidence sources, and physical library services like document supply and print books.

We can also offer subject-specific support for projects including service evaluations, quality improvement projects, and research proposals and grant applications. Regular training sessions are run – please check the workshop programme for details.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the library staff for their help on this project.  I approached you last year and asked for a literature search on anything to do with the Good Lives Model as we wanted to publish the adaptation we have made in our services.  […] your help really was invaluable in the completion of the final article that we submitted for publication.  We have just been advised today that this is now published and available.
