Co-production in Action

This course has been developed by both service users and our participation team. It involves 4 in-person days over approximately 6 months, and supports teams to co-produce an improvement initiative in that time.

Course

What the course provides:

  • An understanding of the principles and approaches of co-production  

  • Resources, tips, and support to enable you to work effectively in partnership with people 

  • Dedicated time to plan and action your co-production and improvement project 

  • Practical advice from our Side-by-Side patient network. 

  • The chance to learn together with a network of peers who will support and encourage you 

  • Ongoing buddy support beyond the programme days 

Outcomes of the course:

By the end of the course you will have worked on the delivery of a co-produced improvement project, and development of a team of service users and staff working together on improvement. Built confidence in using co-production approaches to apply in your service and the ability to use co-production and improvement methods together to design, implement and measure the impact of change.

Individuals and staff with an interest in working in partnership with patients and the public to co-produce services, especially those looking for tools and examples.
