Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD)

Mental Health

About the study:

The Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) Study, led by the NIHR Mental Health BioResource and researchers at King’s College London, supports research into the risk factors for depression and anxiety. These are the most common mental health disorders globally, with 1 in 3 people in the UK experiencing symptoms during their lifetime.

The GLAD Study aims to improve our understanding of depression and anxiety to develop effective treatments and enhance the lives of those affected. The NIHR Mental Health BioResource will enable the investigation of genetic risk factors in individuals diagnosed with or treated for these conditions.
